Ms. Melanie Miles
President
Melanie is a board-certified family law attorney and the lead litigator at her firm. She has taught family law trial skills for the American Bar Association and has been a featured speaker for the State Bar of Texas. She serves on several community boards and has a passion for public policy and social justice advocacy.

Ms. Argentina M. James
Vice President of Policy
Argentina M. James, president and CEO of a fast-growing public relations firm that develops and implements strategies that incorporate marketing and advertising campaigns, corporate and brand identity programs, and stakeholder engagement that drive extraordinary results. Her roots in the community are deep, and her fundraising and political savvy have transformed community organizations.

Ms. Sharon Murphy
Vice President of Programs
Sharon is a named partner of one of the country’s largest African American owned CPA firms, with extensive experience in higher education, government entities, and charter schools. Her personal passion is using her time and talents for causes that advance her communities.

Dr. Janice Beal
Vice President of Membership
Dr. Janice Beal is a respected practicing psychotherapist and clinical director of a group practice specializing in children, adolescents, and families. She has published extensively, routinely presents at professional conferences, and has taught at the university level. Dr. Beal has served on the board of several mental health and family organizations.

Ms. Duni Hebron
PAC Treasurer
Duni Hebron is an innovative executive and business owner with numerous years in executive leadership in multiple industries and focuses on management, marketing, human resources, and communications. She’s very involved in the City of Houston activities – politically and socially, and she has an extensive track record of community service through ably serving on various boards and commissions.

Ms. Jarmese Morris
Financial Secretary
Jarmese is a healthcare and social welfare professional with deep hands-on knowledge of service to the community. Jarmese is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a certified Disaster Recovery Professional (EDRP), and has served various organizations as a case manager and education specialist. She has been a featured speaker at various university and community events and has extensive volunteer experience.

Ms. Diedra Fontaine
Secretary
Diedra Fontaine’s professional background includes development, sales, diversity, equity and inclusion, and community affairs. She serves on several boards, is active in various community organizations, and is committed to serving the community to help others. She aspires to uphold the principle: “To whom much is given, much is required.”
